Scott Sanders earned his Bachelor’s in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University, his Master’s degree from Grand Valley State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. He is currently the Program Director for Social Work at Lourdes University and has been involved in social work education for over 20 years. Prior to his teaching experience, Dr. Sanders worked in residential treatment and foster care settings. While at UK, Dr. Sanders completed his dissertation research examining the effects of ethics education on graduate level social work students. During and since that time he has conducted numerous ethics workshops at both the state and national level, including the BPD and CSWE’s APM. Most recently, he along with two other colleagues completed an ethics textbook entitled “The helping profession’s guide to ethics: A new perspective” originally published by Lyceum.
