Randy J. Baxter, Ph.D., MSW, LMSW is a professor of social work at Spring Arbor University from 2011-2022, reiring in June 2002. He was teaching in the MSW and BSW programs, responsible for the macro curriculum in both programs, especially research, community organization, and social policy. He also served previously as Director of Field Instruction from 2011-2013. He spent 28 years with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a caseworker, supervisor, and state contract administrator, especially in child welfare, including leadership/consultant roles in macro-focused community/agency collaborative and private/public partnership opportunities. He participates as a member in many national macro social work organizations in various roles and activities. He is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Clinical and Macro Master Social Worker.
