Bec Sokha Keo (they/them) is a second-generation Cambodian-American, first-generation scholar, and alum of the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. They work at the SUSTAIN COMPASS Coordinating Center, which partners with community-based organizations in the US South to enhance mental health, harm reduction, wellbeing, and trauma-informed care with an emphasis on healing justice in the context of HIV/AIDS. At SUSTAIN, they are a senior social behavioral science researcher and co-facilitator of SUSTAIN's ACTION Grant Program, designed to promote community solidarity through language justice. Their research interests include community-based participatory action research, intersectional approaches to statistical analyses, and public impact scholarship.
