Gretchen Ely, PhD, MSW, is a Professor and PhD Program Director in the College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Ely’s research is focused on improving social justice around access to health care for vulnerable populations, particularly in the area of reproductive health care. Her publications appear in both social work and multidisciplinary journals, including Social Work in Health Care and Health Care for Women International. Dr. Ely teaches courses in community organizing, policy and field. .
