Carolyn Mak, PhD, RSW is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Smith College. She earned her doctorate in social work from Smith College School for Social Work, and completed her MSW at the University of Toronto. Dr. Mak is currently the Director, Well-Being and School Counselling at Branksome Hall, an independent school for girls in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her social work and research interests include social-emotional learning in educational settings, anti-racism pedagogy, and lived experiences of Chinese immigrant youth. She has previously taught in social work programs at the University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Smith College.
