Ramon Coronado, Ph.D., LCSW, MPA, is a recent graduate from the Worden School of Social Services at Our Lady of the Lake University. His disseration was tittled "The Use of an Integrated Care Model to Address Mental Health Stressors in Higher Education for First Geneartion Hispanic Students in Distress: A Qualitative Study". He earned his BS in Psychology from the Vanguard University of Southern California, MSW from California State University, Long Beach, and his MPA from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He has studied and worked in the field of social work, for over a decade in roles to include managed care, integrated Care, case management, healthcare policy and procedure evaluation, and quality improvement consulting work with psychiatric hospitals. His research interests include Behavioral Health, Mental Health in Higher Education, Mental Health in the Latinx community, Mental Health in the LGBTQ Population, and Program Development and Evaluation. Dr. Coronado currently works in higher education developing programs that will support students who experience stressors that are impacting their academic success.
