Breana Bietsch is a doctoral student at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Breana’s work is informed by her practice experiences working with older adults in the community, nursing home, and hospice settings. Her current interests include LGBTQ older adults, how the life course affects aging, health care policy, and how to encourage social work students to go into the field of gerontological social work. Breana earned her MSW from Rutgers University with a Certificate in Aging and her BA in Psychology from Rider University. She is a licensed master level social worker in Connecticut. She grew up in New Jersey and currently resides in Glastonbury, CT with her wife and daughter.
