Dr. Amml Hussein is the Director of Research at the Council on Social Work Education, an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University, and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She brings over 13 years of experience in diverse settings including Health Care, Mental Health, Instructional Design, and Higher Education. Dr. Hussein has experience with design and content development of creative, learner-centered products to advance the knowledge and skills of child welfare and early childhood professionals in the State of New Jersey. Dr. Hussein’s research interests include diversity, equity and inclusion, predictive modeling, and the science of student success. She is well versed in best practices in adult education and innovative methods for learner engagement, as well as subject matter expertise in supporting children and engaging families on a wide range of social issues. Dr. Hussein has over 9 years of medical social work experience in Managed Health Care where she case managed diverse populations including individuals with mental/behavioral health conditions, and substance use disorders and chemical dependencies. Her work has been recognized by the United States Senate and General Assembly with a Citation for Leadership and Academic Excellence.
