Froylana Heredia-Miller, MSW, LCSW, is an Associate Professor and the Director of MSW Field Education at California Baptist University. She is a member of several boards and councils, including the CSWE Council on Field Education, the North American Network of Field Educators and Directors, the Inland Empire Clinical Education Collaborative, and the Riverside County Workforce Education & Training (WET) Steering Committee. Over her 20-year career in higher education, she taught at California Baptist University, Azusa Pacific University, California State University, San Bernardino; and Loma Linda University. Prior to her arrival at CBU, she served as a faculty member and as the Director of Field Education for both Loma Linda University and Azusa Pacific University. Her career experiences encompass the coordination of mental health stipend programs, coordination of graduate social work dual-degree programs in criminal justice and gerontology, program directorship for domestic violence treatment programs, medical social work, international social work practice, community behavioral health, and graduate field education. Ms.Heredia-Miller was trained in the use of the Trauma and Community Resiliency Models. She has traveled to several countries including Trinidad, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Kiev, West Africa, Japan, the Philippines, and Canada to train and provide clinical support to individuals and communities impacted by traumatic events.
