A. Personal Statement
My work as an assistant professor has focused on theory, practice, and ethical considerations for direct clinical practice in social work with an emphasis on working with marginalized populations. I work in guiding curriculum and syllabi development to enhance student engagement with complex situations in practice settings with a focus of development of personal and professional skills in safe and supportive settings. My research is concerned with developing innovative approaches to promote self-efficacy and confidence to fortify and promote the retention of social workers in the profession. Currently, I am proud to serve as a member of the curriculum development team and as an instructor teaching in the master’s and bachelor’s programs at CBU.
