Suzanne Badawi, LCSW,is the Director of Field Education for the Social Work Program at Ramapo College, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Theory & Practice in the MSW program, and other clinical courses for different programs at the college. She was recruited by the Assistant Dean of Social Work to develop the field education component for Ramapo’s inaugural MSW program, which successfully launched in 2015 and was awarded initial CSWE accreditation in 2018. The program began with 20 students, as of 2020 it includes 140+ students,and it is growing continuously. Suzanne began as a department of one and worked to develop four Field Coordinator positions, including an Associate Field Director and incoming field liaisons, all of whom she supervises. Suzanne has created innovative field programming for the Social Work Program, making it a standout in the Greater NYC area’s local practice community. Suzanne co-created the college’s first ever Social Work Career Fair, which is in its third round this spring. She was recently elected to serve on the Executive Board of the North American Network of Field Education Directors (NANFED). Suzanne is the recipient of the President’s Staff Leadership Award among other honors from the college. Suzanne has maintained her role as an Associate Psychotherapist for one of the most prestigious clinical practices in Bergen County, NJ. She has advanced training in DBT, Imago Couples Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and is Certified in Group Psychotherapy. Suzanne is a successful public speaker who has presented numerous times for various organizations.
