Dr. Daniel Freedman is an experienced social work educator and licensed social worker. He earned undergraduate degrees in Native American Studies and Psychology from the University of Minnesota and earned both an MSW and PhD in social work from The Ohio State University. He is currently the BSW Program Director and Instructional Associate Professor with the Department of Social Work at George Mason University. Additionally, Dr. Freedman has been a clincial social worker for a number of years within multiple mental health, substance abuse, and integrated behavioral/physical healthcare settings. Dr. Freedman is a published author and has conducted local, state, national, and international presentations and workshops.
