Dr. Nomi Ostrander (they/she) is a gender, sex, and relationship therapist, social worker, and teacher-scholar whose community-based work focuses largely on gun violence, gender identity, sex, queerness, and disability. They are an associate professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth's Department of Social Work. Dr. Ostrander has published and presented her work in publications and at conferences across the globe. They previously served as the director for the Chicago Gun Violence Research Collaborative, which brought together Chicago-based universities, health systems, and communities to explore community-based solutions to gun violence and structural racism.
