Siu Ming Kwok is a social work professor at University of Calgary and currently serving as the academic director of the School of Public University at the same university. Additionally, he is the current President of Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) and President of Canadian Council of Social Work Regulators (CCSWR).
In his career, he has received numerous research and teaching awards, invited to present at national and international conferences as a keynote and panelist member, and has testified at the Canadian Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights on the topic of visible minorities and the criminal justice system.
Professor Kwok has been involved in practice, research and social work teaching for 35 years. His main research areas are criminal justice system and mental, social policy and municipal government, youth mental health, and social work regulations.
