Dr. Dora Tam is a Professor at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Social Work. Dr. Tam’s research interest includes child and youth mental health, youth at risk, violence against women; migration stressors among newcomers; program evaluation; and professional suitability for social work practice. She has extensive national and international research funding and publications for two decades. Dr. Tam is the Project Lead on this 3-year international partnership project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada to engage children and youth, parents, and community partners in the development of service user-focused initiatives for the promotion of mental wellness among children and youth aged 12 to 17 in Canada and China. She is grateful for the support from the community partners, advisory committee members, collaborators, research associates, volunteers, project assistants, practicum students, and project team members to make this CYMH Project viable and meaningful.
