At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will demonstrate an understanding for the need for fugitive spaces for Students of Color.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify commitments and action steps faculty and administrators in Social Work programs can take to create/support nurturing environments for Students of Color.
Using Critical Conversations Collective as a model, participants will be able to demonstrate how social work education can incorporate the experiences of individuals, collectives, organizations, and communities impacted by systems of oppression to challenge the persistent power inequity formalized within higher institutions that perpetuate harm.
