Kristan Alfonso, MD, joined Emory University in the summer of 2019. She came to Georgia from Houston, where she completed her fellowship training and served as a pediatric otolaryngologist at Texas Children's Hospital.
Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Alfonso earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University, followed by residency training in otolaryngology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. Alfonso has experience and interests in the field of pediatric otolaryngology, including sensorineural and conductive hearing loss, cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease, microtia, abnormalities of the external ear, nasal and sinus disease, salivary gland disease, airway disorders, and congenital and acquired head and neck masses.
