RObert Buckmire, M.D. is the March Floyd Riddle Research Distinguished Professor, Vice Chair of Education, Residency Program Director and Chief of the Division of Voice and Swallowing Disorders within the Dept. of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery-University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his medical training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, his Otolaryngology resdiency at the University of North Carolina, and his Laryngology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. His clinical practice and research has focused on the diagnosis and management of voice, swallowing and airway disorder for the last 20 years.
