Walter Kutz, MD, FACS is a Professor in Otolaryngology and Neurological Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After completing Otolaryngology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, he completed a two-year fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kutz has a particular interest in the medical education. He was awarded the Chief Resident Appreciation Award for outstanding contribution and leadership. He is the program director of the neurotology fellowship and the associate program director of the residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Kutz is active in clinical research with specific interests in acoustic neuroma outcomes, neurofibromatosis type 2, auditory brainstem implants, cochlear implantation, endoscopic ear surgery, and cerebrospinal fluid fistulas of the temporal bone.
