Dr. Alexandra Kejner, MD FACS is a board certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon who specializes in head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstruction, and transoral robotic surgery at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center and the Markey Cancer Center. She completed medical school at the University of Michigan and then went on to the University of Alabama - Birmingham where she completed her otolaryngology residency. She then went on to complete a comprehensive fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology/microvascular reconstruction/and transoral robotic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a special interest in Human Papillomavirus - related tumors of the head and neck and their diagnosis and treatment as well as smoking-related cancers. She also has a special interest in free tissue transfer, free flap monitoring, and wound-healing. She is a board member of the AHNS and currently co-chairs the Mentorship Committee. She has presented at multiple national meetings and has published in peer-reviewed journals in otolaryngology. She enjoys hiking and painting in her spare time.
