Elina M. Toskala, MD, PhD, MBA, Professor and Director of Allergy in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. She is the Chair of Women in Rhinology section in American Rhinologic Society. She serves in several committees in both ARS and AAOA. She has held academic appointments internationally as well as within the US and has been lecturing world-wide at CME courses and meetings for the last 25 years. Her main area of research has been focusing on chronic rhinosinusitis pathophysiology, genetics and endotyping. Her other research interests include epidemiological and occupational studies of allergic airway disease, allergen immunotherapy and the “Unified Airways”- connections between upper and lower airway diseases. She has published over 130 articles and chapters. She is an Associate editor for Frontiers in Allergy and past Associate for International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
