Carol L. Alter, MD, is a Professor and Associate Chair of Clinical Integration and operations at Dell Medical School, and a Senior Fellow at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. She has over 30 years experience as a consult-liaison psychiatrist and expert in integrating behavioral and physical health and value based care delivery. Dr. Alter is the chair of the APA Council on Quality Care. She attended George Washington University Medical School and received psychiatric training at the Mayo Clinic, Cornell University Medical College, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
