Andrew McKeon obtained his medical degree from University College Dublin (2000). He undertook internal medicine and neurology training in Ireland which he completed at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota as a fellow in movement disorders and then autoimmune neurology. He joined the faculty at Mayo Clinic in Rochester in 2009, with a joint appointment in the Departments of Neurology, and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. He is a Director of the Neuroimmunology Laboratory, and is Enterprise Director for MS and Autoimmune Neurology at Mayo Clinic. He is a Professor of Neurology, Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. Dr McKeon’s interests pertain to the characterization of autoimmune CNS disorders clinically and immunologically, and validation of biomarkers for clinical use.
