Dr. Ann Schwartz is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. She is currently the Vice Chair for Education and Director of Residency Education for the general training program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her main clinical responsibilities are on the Consultation-Liaison Service at Grady Memorial Hospital, which is one of the busiest, highest acuity C/L programs in the country. In this role, she is actively involved in teaching to psychiatric residents and fellows, as well as medical students. She is actively engaged in service in the local community, within Emory, as well as on a national level. Her national work has been primarily with two organizations, the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (ACLP) and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT). She serves on and has been active in committees in both organizations, largely centered on education issues.
