Marci M. Loiselle, Ph.D. is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She is a Medical Psychologist with Duke University's Transplant Center where she performs psychological and C/L services for the heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, multivisceral, and multi-organ transplant and LVAD programs. She also coordinates the Behavioral Medicine Educational Series for Duke Transplant Center. Prior to her tenure at Duke, she was a clinical psychologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s (UNC-CH) Comprehensive Center for Transplant Care. At UNC-CH, she was an Associate Clinical Professor in UNC’s Department of Surgery and Adjunct Associate Professor at UNC’s Department of Psychiatry. She served as the Lead Psychologist for the Abdominal Transplant Program, the Director of Psychological Services for UNC Comprehensive Center for Transplant Care, and the Director of Postdoctoral Training in Psychology. Her graduate training was at Western Michigan University, where she earned a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Her APA-approved Predoctoral Internship was in Behavioral Medicine at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Department of Psychiatry. Her postdoctoral training was at Duke University Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Her research interests parallel her clinical work and include the intersection between psychosocial variables and transplant/donation outcomes and quality of life.
