Cheryl Robbins has over30 years of professional experience in the maternal and child health world of public health. She has worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for 15 years. Her research focus is perinatal mental health and preconception health. Before coming to CDC, worked at the state and local levels of public health in Florida. Cheryl co-founded a non-profit research organization that provided technical assistance to community agencies working on health disparities, worked as the Executive Director of a non-profit agency that provided shelter for pregnant, homeless women and home visiting services to prevent child abuse, and spent more than a dozen years working at the Florida Department of Health overseeing women’s health programs. Cheryl has a PhD in Sociology, two masters degrees (Sociology and Counseling), and she received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida State University.
