Tom Hata received his PhD in Biology from Stanford University and undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley. As an interdisciplinary scientist, engineer, and AI enthusiast, he served as Co-founder and VP of AI at LookDeep Health from 2019 to 2021. In this role, he oversaw the initial development of the AI-based platform for remote and continuous hospital patient observation using in-room cameras. Prior to that, he worked as an R&D Process Engineer at RheoSense and as an independent data science consultant for healthcare startups.
