My educational background has been focused on understanding how and why organisms learn new information. This is particularly relevant in periods of stress and the development of maladaptive behaviors. As lead on all projects in graduate school and my postdoc, I developed the research design, data analysis, and interpretation. In my training I’ve developed expertise broadly in the fields of psychology, addiction, neuroscience, and data analysis. Since beginning work at Denver Health as a data scientist, I’ve established a data pipeline on several projects, including tracking at-risk individuals entering the hospital with suspected methamphetamine induced psychosis disorder, validating the use of a common suicide rating scale (CSSRS), tracking the drastic changes in hospital volumes and acuity as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as many research projects. My primary areas of interest are data science, mental health, and substance use specifically.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
