Dr. Margo Funk is a consultation liaison psychiatrist, Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Training Program and Vice Chair for Education in the department of psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she is also the Director of Cardiovascular Psychiatry. Dr. Funk received her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine and her psychiatry training at Duke University. Dr. Funk served as the Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency and in multiple undergraduate medical education leadership roles at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She then joined the staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center as the Chief of Psychiatry, then Associate Chief of Staff of Mental Health. Dr. Funk joined the Harvard Medical School faculty in 2019 as the Program Director of the Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency at VA Boston Healthcare System prior to joining the staff at Brigham and Women's Hospital in summer 2021. Dr. Funk is nationally recognized for her work in cardiovascular psychiatry and is active in the American Psychiatric Association Council on Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry.
