Dr. Finkel is dually appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is Director of the Division of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In addition to running the clinical and administrative aspects of the psychiatry consultation liaison service, Dr. Finkel has expertise in psychiatric manifestations of Multiple Sclerosis, and has collaborated for years with the renowned Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai. Her areas of interest include: multiple sclerosis, neurologic illness, chronic medical illness, psychopharmacology, psychological reaction to illness, forensic psychiatry, and bioethics.
