Dr. Joy Choi is a senior instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency training at the Mount Sinai - St. Luke's/West Hospitals in NYC, and graduated from the NYU School of Medicine Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship in 2020. Currently she is the transplant psychiatrist for the Advanced Heart Failure Service, providing pre- and post-psychiatric evaluations for patients in need of Left Ventricular Assist Device or heart transplant. Her current research interests are in psychological profile and cognitive function in patients with advanced heart failure, and cardiac dysfunction in early psychosis.
