Dr. Shannon Mazur is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, and the lead attending for the Yale Psycho-Oncology Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is the secretary and active member of the Yale Hospital Adult Ethics Committee. She received her medical degree from Midwestern University and completed her general psychiatry training at University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate Medical Center, followed by a CL fellowship from Yale. Prior to medical school she obtained a master's degree in Applied Philosophy and Biomedical Ethics from Loyola University of Chicago and taught medical ethics at several local Chicago Universities. Within ACLP, Dr. Mazur is the Co-Chair for the Bioethics SIG, a member of the Standards and Ethics Committee, and a 2020 Webb Fellow recipient. Her research has focused on end-of-life care, bioethics, and decision-making capacity.
