I received my medical education and training in Neurology at Córdoba National University, Argentina. Later, I moved to the USA and completed my Psychiatry training. I’m a board-certified Psychiatrist by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also a Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry certified physician. I joined the faculty at the Department of Psychiatry of Texas Tech University Medical Center at El Paso in 2015. Currently, I’m an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency and I’m actively involved in education. As part of my clinical duties, I work in the Clinical Liaison team at the University Medical Hospital and as consultant of the neuropsychiatric disorders. My main clinical interests are related to neuropsychiatric disorder like complications of Traumatic Brain Injuries, Delirium, Stroke, Seizures, Cognitive disorders and COVID-19 neuropsychiatric complications. I have several publications in the area of neuropsychiatric disorders: Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury and neuropsychological tests. In the education area, I have published on and worked with the Simulation Lab to develop innovative approaches to teaching medical students about mental health.
