Emily attending The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio for her undergraduate degrees where she received a BS in Psychology and a BS in Microbiology. She attended graduate school at The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio where she received a MS in Biomedical Sciences. She then went to medical school at The University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. There, she focused on research in resident wellness and burnout prevention. Since coming to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for residency she is most passionate about consult-liaison psychiatry along with advocacy, intersectionality in psychiatry (minority, women, and LGBTQ+ health), and medical education. As an intern she received the Medical Student Honor Roll, a medical student teaching award.
