Ali Kalam is a third year medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine who will be applying for Psychiatry residency in September 2022. He completed his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University where he majored in History. After graduating, he spent time on a Fulbright teaching elementary school in rural Taiwan. In medical school, he has spent has time working with a policy group that advocates for health-driven policy changes in the Bronx. Interests in Psychiatry include mental health policy, reproductive psychiatry, and psychooncology.
