Kevin Hoffman is currently a second-year psychiatry resident at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is part of both the research and pediatric tracks. After graduating from Haverford College, Kevin completed his MD and PhD degrees at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he wrote a dissertation in microbiology studying immune responses of viral neuroinvasion. At Penn, Kevin is devoting research efforts towards studying how inflammation influences the developing brain and psychiatric illness in children. Clinically, Kevin is interested in the psychiatric care of neurologically and medically complex children with particular interest in autism spectrum disorder and psychosis.
