Resident Physician
University of Pennsylvania
Dustin R. Todaro is a psychiatry resident in the R25 Research Track at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his MD and PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. His research background is in kinetic enzymology investigating the mechanisms of ubiquitin ligases. This work defined the catalytic mechanism for the Nedd4 (neural precursor cell expressed developmentally down-regulated 4) family ligases implicated in a variety of autoimmune and neuropsychiatric disorders. His current research interests focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders. His clinical interests include delirium, post-surgical neurocognitive disorders, and providing care for patients with substance use disorders.
