Sarah MacLaurin is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at the Freedom Trail Clinic, where she is Associate Director of Medical Services. At the MGH Psychosis Clinical and Research Program, she is Clinical Practice Manager of the Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia Service where she focuses on population health and integrated psychiatric - medical care. She co-directs the Public and Community Psychiatry Fellowship. She participates in the training of the residents during their community rotation and is a clinical instructor for the next generation of psychiatric nurse practitioners. Sarah works closely with the Department of Mental Health, specifically, in the homeless shelters located in the Erich Lindemann Mental Health Center. Prior to becoming a psych-NP, Sarah worked at The Scripps Research Institute (CA) on the neurodevelopment of schizophrenia, then at Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research in molecular imaging, and then at McLean Hospital in the psychotic disorders unit.
