Dr. Runyan has practiced emergency psychiatry at University of Vermont Medical Center for nearly ten years, and presently serves as the Director of Emergency Psychiatry, as well as teaching undergraduates, medical students, and residents as an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Vermont. Dr. Runyan graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009 and completed psychiatry residency at University of Vermont in 2013. His clinical interests include malingering/factitious disorders, intersectionality of law and ethics in emergency care, and suicidology. He resides in Burlington Vermont with his wife and young daughter.
