Medical Director
Vermont Department of Mental Health
Dr. Kelley Klein is the medical director of the Vermont Department of Mental Health where she provides direct medical consultation to the commissioner, care management, quality improvement, and legal teams. She is board certified in both psychiatry and addiction medicine and has served as medical director for inpatient rehabilitation in Rochester, NY and emergency psychiatry at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She completed medical school at New York Medical College and psychiatry residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Her areas of active research include quality improvement for psychiatric patients in the emergency department and suicide prevention.
