Psychiatry Resident Physician, PGY2
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University
A current PGY2 psychiatry resident physician at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Duke University in 2016 and medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2020. My research experience began at Duke University after receiving a Howard Hughes student research fellowship in 2013, studying the preclinical efficacy of 5-HT2C receptor agonists for the treatment of schizophrenia in mouse behavioral models. Throughout my education and medical training, I have had research experience in various fields within psychiatry, including basic neurosciences, behavioral/translational research, and quality improvement. Currently, I am interested in clinical work and research related to the LGBTQ+ youth population and hope to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
