As a Clinical Pharmacy Practice Manager at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center since 2018, Dr. MacMaster helps provide innovative, high quality pharmaceutical services that foster efficacious, safe and cost effective drug use for her patients. Prior to her role at LHMC, she served as the Diabetes Management Specialist for inpatient glycemic control at UCSF Health. She is an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the UCSF School of Pharmacy and holds faculty appointments at MCPHS, Northeastern University and a primary or contributing author of 18 peer-reviewed, published articles. She completed her undergraduate degrees at UC Berkeley, Her pharmacy career began as a pharmacy practice resident at UCSF Health, after graduating from Washington State College of Pharmacy, She then joined UCSF Health as a General Surgery Clinical Pharmacist. 4 years later, she accepted the position of Clinical Pharmacy Practice Manager at UCSF and helped lead the clinical and safe conversion from paper orders to CPOE via EPIC . 4 years later, she received her CDE and transitioned to the Diabetes Management Specialist position , where she helped ensure safe and optimal inpatient glycemic control in coordination with the Director of Endocrinology. Dr. MacMaster is an active member of ADA, AADE, ASHP, ACCP, UHC and is part of the ENDO Society's Hypoglycemia Guidelines 2022,
