Dr. Salerno is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Liver Transplantation at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center. He graduated with his PharmD from Rutgers University in 2014 before completing his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Solid Organ Transplant at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. He currently serves as the Residency Program Director of the PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacy Residency program and is affiliate faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine. An avid researcher, Dr. Salerno has published over 50 peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts and several book chapters including the most recent Chapter on Solid Organ Transplantation for Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach, 12th Edition. As a recognized expert in transplant pharmacotherapy, Dr. Salerno has been appointed to the editorial board of the journal Liver Transplantation, participated in item-writing for the first version of the board-certification exam in transplant pharmacotherapy and is a consultant for Lexicomp/UpToDate/Facts & Comparisons.
