Madeline R. Marks, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Division of Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Marks is tasked with developing a proactive consultation model between the psychiatry team and the Adams R. Cowley Shock Trauma Center. The focus is on trauma-informed care and equitable access to mental health care. She is interested in leveraging data science techniques and technology as a delivery mechanism for prevention, intervention, and training protocols. She leads a workplace violence (WPV) committee and serves on the University of Maryland Medical System WPV. Additionally, Dr. Marks has extensive training in treating anxiety and trauma and stressor related disorders using exposure therapy. To this end she has a special focus on stress injuries among first responders and healthcare workers. Prior to graduate training, she worked as a volunteer and professional EMT for 6 years. While currently not "on the road," she maintains her certifications.
