Kelsey Talty received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Salve Regina University in 2013. Following graduation, she became a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Educator and taught in Spain for over a year. She then served as an Education and Community Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar for two years and realized her passion for public health and medicine. After completing a Post-baccalaureate Premedical Certificate Program at Johns Hopkins University in 2018, she worked with folks experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance use disorders as a case manager for two years. She is now an MD/MPH candidate (class of 2025) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and simultaneously works as a Crisis Response Coordinator for survivors of intimate-partner-violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
