Dr. Punzi obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. He obtained his Medical Doctorate from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed residency training in psychiatry at VCU Health System. He then completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at UPMC. He is currently an assistant professor of psychiatry in the consultation-liaison department at UPMC. His academic interests include neuropsychiatry, collaborative care, and education.
