Dr Thakur completed training in general psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is currently director of the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he also directs the associated student clerkships and resident rotations. In addition to inpatient psychiatric consultation, his interests include ethics and psychiatry, particularly unique challenges in capacity assessment; transplant psychiatry; interventional psychiatry including electroconvulsive therapy, and proactive psychiatric consultation.
