Dr. Lurie is a Professor of Medicine, Orthopaedics, and of The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI) at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He received his BSE in Geological Engineering from Princeton, an MD from Stanford University, and a Masters Degree in Evaluative Clinical Sciences from Dartmouth. He has extensive experience in health services and comparative effectiveness research with a primary focus on low back pain and rehabilitation. His overarching research interests are in evidence-based decision-making and decision-based evidence-making.
