Dr. Jyoti Sachdeva is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at University of Cincinnati and is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Sachdeva finished her General Psychiatry residency at Louisiana State university (LSU) at Shreveport in 2005 and has been in Academic Psychiatry since then. Dr. Sachdeva has a strong interest in teaching and served as Associate residency training director at LSU. She moved to the University of Cincinnati in 2008 and is now involved in medical student mentorship and recruitment.
Dr. Sachdeva is an experienced clinician and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, consultation-liaison, and emergency psychiatry settings. The main focus of her current practice is Women’s mental health, specifically Reproductive Psychiatry. She has been instrumental in developing Women’s mental health at University of Cincinnati and is appointed Director of Women's mental health and Wellness. She divides her time between seeing patients at Reproductive Psychiatry Consultation clinic , Psychiatric emergency room. and her administrative duties as Director of Psychiatry services at Westchester hospital. She is passionate about development of clinical programs in women's mental health and resident education in this area.Her mission is to empower women through education and access to care. Her research interests are in the interface of mind body medicine and women's mental heath.
