Pamela Mirsky, M.D., FACLP grew up near Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. In 2007 she received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where she also trained as an intern in Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2011 and then went on to do a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry through Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston VA Medical Center from 2011 to 2012. In March 2018 she completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine (now the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine). She is board-certified in Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and Integrative Medicine. For four years Dr. Mirsky directed the Psychiatry Consultation Service at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and then moved into Integrated outpatient settings including Primary Care and Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinics. She established the Mindfulness Clinic at Banner University Medical Center South, where she saw individual patients for mindfulness-based psychotherapy and taught Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups. She is a Qualified Teacher MBCT as defined by the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, and has trained with renowned teachers including Jon Kabat-Zinn and Zindel Segal. She is certified by the Institute for Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, and is currently enrolled in the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) led by esteemed mindfulness teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
